Do not form a US LLC to receive this. A foreign-owned single-member US LLC must file Form 5472 and a pro-forma 1120 every year even with zero income and zero activity, and the penalty is $25,000 per form per year. For an amount this size that is the wrong shape of risk entirely. A virtual USD receiving account does the same job with none of the tail.
